Calling all students,

In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture founding, ANFA will host a design competition honoring one of its key founding members, John P. Eberhard, FAIA, to create greater interest and understanding of the relationship between neuroscience and architecture. A Design competition motivates students to perform and excel in their fields. Architecture competitions offer a chance for participants to gain experience, showcase skills, understand their design better, understand their topic (Neuroscience) better, and garner recognition.

Competition Abstract
The Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA) in Greenwood Village, CO seeks conceptual design proposals for its Design and Build Competition from art, architecture, design and other creatively focused USA based collegiate students, teams, and/or classes. This year’s theme is Land Art: Celestial Architecture. The design brief launches 11/30/23 with full competition details. Additional support resources will also be announced at the competition opening on January 5, 2024.

Best in Design is an international contest for young designers. There are not only financial rewards from 200 € up to 1 500 € in the game, but it’s also a great opportunity to get a feedback, to compare yourself with young designers from all around the world, to show people what you can do and maybe to start your career. Saint-Gobain Transparence is India's Biggest Design Competition for students of architecture and design. For the past 18 years, Saint-Gobain in association with Ethos has been striving to provide a platform for aspiring designers to showcase their ingenuity on topics in design relevant to our times as well as apt for the future. Participate in Saint-Gobain Transparence 18.0 Architecture Category this year and win a chance to represent your country in the Global Architecture Student Contest in Finland, Europe.

One-of-a-kind inclusive community grounded in neurodiversity, India Autism Center (IAC) is a multidisciplinary non-profit organization for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other related conditions. The competition site of 3000 sq ft (built up of 4500 sq ft) is located within the campus, an integrated 39-acre community neighborhood, currently under construction at Sirakole, West Bengal.The project is envisioned to create an inclusive community - with the provision of residential, educational, vocational, clinical, and recreational services as well as employment avenues.

The Architecture for Health Student Award honours outstanding master theses on the theme of Architecture for Health.
This is intended to promote work in the field of healthcare architecture or architecture & urban planning for health and to encourage students in their motivation to engage in this important topic.

Avani Essay Prize, 2023, is an essay competition for full-time registered undergraduate students of architecture, planning, and design from around the world.
The Avani Essay Prize is dedicated to fostering intellectual exploration and encouraging students to express their thoughts and ideas through the written word. This year we intend to explore the concept of a "city" that challenges the conventional narratives about its nature and purpose.

To celebrate the opening of Nina Park, Chinachem Group is calling upon creative young talent to co-design a better and brighter future. This competition encourages designers to rethink the conventional function of shelter, explore experimental ideas, propose placemaking interventions and present innovative solutions for design excellence, actions and impact. We’ll offer the winner an opportunity to realise a creative spatial design for an outdoor installation that covers an amphitheatre with shade and seating.

As part of the celebration of the Day of the Mediterranean 2023, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is organising a student competition on Urban Design entitled “Urban Solutions to Climate Change in the Mediterranean”. Undergraduate/Graduate students in relevant Schools/Departments, based in any of the 43 UfM Member States can participate. However eligible proposals must be located in one UfM Member States around the Mediterranean (see below for details).

This year, designaddvance calls for ideas that reimagine railway stations in X, Y and Z cities beyond being just Transit Hubs and more as nodes of urban activity. To reform and boost the existing spatial and visual identity of a railway station into that of an urban centre—with a mix of uses such as healthcare, commerce, education, leisure, business, entertainment and so on—reshaping the interaction of the users with the place.

The European Cultural Academy (ECA) in Venice is offering a full scholarship in 2023 to participants presenting the best project ideas for exploring architecture and the city using film and sound. The prize is a fee-paid place on our "Venicinema" course (4-15 September 2023) worth €1650. The course is led by François Penz, Professor of Architecture and Moving Image at the University of Cambridge, UK.

Global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. invites students to see where their designs can take them by entering the seventh Vectorworks Design Scholarship. The global competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students in major disciplines related to architecture, landscape architecture, landscape design, entertainment and interior design. Students can submit a new design or past project from any of their classes for the chance to win up to $10,000 USD. Competition entries will be evaluated by an expert panel of international judges in two rounds. First-round winners will each receive up to $3,000 USD and will be entered for the chance to win the grand prize Richard Diehl Award, worth up to an additional $7,000 USD.
