Figueras Seating is a leading designer and manufacturer of versatile seating systems for auditoriums, theatres and conference rooms. A customized version of the Flex 6035 by Figueras Seating was used in the Music School and Concert Hall, located in Ventspils, Latvia.
The project required seating with optimal acoustic performance. Figueras worked closely with the architects and Müller-BBM to meet the acoustic requirements, this involved several modifications to the seat's original design.
To meet the acoustician's high-performance criteria, the team tested and reassessed elements, including foam layers, upholstery and timber panels. They tailored a standard product to optimize the concert hall's acoustics while improving future production methods through detailed laboratory analysis.
The seats were upholstered with a bespoke fabric, meticulously tailored by Rohi.
