Figueras Seating is a leading designer and manufacturer of versatile seating systems for auditoriums, theatres and conference rooms. A custom seating system by Figueras Seating was used at Teatro Romea, located in Barcelona, Spain.
Seating 625, this project involved refurbishing the Teatre Romea with new chairs. Figueras Seating designed custom seating based on the previous chairs' design, improving it with new materials and comfort features: a quiet seat-folding mechanism and a safety return system. 60 of the chairs are removable, for flexible configurations.
The installation of new LED floor lighting and recycled red velvet upholstery created a modern yet classic design.

- Structure: Made of tube and steel plate arc welding with continuous wire
- Polyurethane foam: Seat density: 40 kg/m3, Backrest density: 35-39 kg/m3
- Paint: Electrostatic powder polyester paint. Paint Thickness: 70-80 microns. Grid adhesion according to UNE-EN ISO 2409 : 100%
