Tactile Materials is an international company dedicated to the supply and production of customized metal cladding for architectural endeavors. The Tactile Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) cladding™ is available for interior and exterior use.
Tactile FRP Cladding™ is one of the most adaptable materials for architectural applications. Tactile's advanced mold-making technology combines innovative casting and revolutionary cast-in and post-applied finishes to achieve demanding design requirements. It produces curvilinear, flat, and curved cladding panels that become part of their integrated cladding system. Tactile supports projects from the design stage, through manufacturing and Install-Assist.™
Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, the Tactile Fiber Reinforced Polymer FRP Cladding™ is ultra-lightweight, strong, and can feature a variety of unique coatings. Tactile's interior FRP cladding can be produced up to 9 feet by 52 feet in single panels.
Tactile's interior cladding systems have been engineered to be much thinner than their exterior systems allowing efficient space distribution while still keeping key design details.
For exterior applications, the Fiber-reinforced polymers are available in semi-transparent, translucent, and opaque high-performance sunshade options. Reinforcing methods range from conventional chopped fiber to strand carbon fiber and offer varying yield strengths and net weight per square foot.

From small to large, Tactile offers highly complex shapes and forms using direct digital design software. Using this process, Tactile can deliver lower costs at a lower volume and extremely large monocast units, constrained only by the limitations of transportation.
Tactile FRP Cladding™ is available in pieces with a nominal 50 mm (2"9) thickness. The deep polymer composite panel is made of a face coat and a structural coat with integrated stiffeners. Return edges and intermediate support are accomplished using embeds and/or bolsters.
