The Nathalie Bed was the first ever product by the Italian company Flou, nowadays known for their wide catalog of bedroom furniture and their commitment to innovation in furniture design.
The bed was designed in 1978 by Vico Magistretti, as the first upholstered bed in the market, with removable covers. It is characterized by the bows at the sides of the headboard, which keep the covers in place. These covers are completely removable and come also with velcro fasteners. The headboard can also be customized with an adjustable version, and it can be upholstered with fabric or leather, matching the customizable bed base.
The cushion covers of the headboard allow pillows to be protected from dust during the day. This bed is available with optional extra storage space inside the base and with optional electrical movement.
Throughout its existence, the bed has gone through diverse iterations to improve and update its design. The latest update is the new box-spring “Comfort”, consisting of two sommiers with a single cover and its central panel clad in a special breathing fabric.
The bed covers can be selected in fabric, leather or Ecopelle, and all covers can be completely removed.
