Flou is an Italian company dedicated to designing and producing bedroom furniture. The company was founded in 1978 and has since worked on transforming the contemporary concept of the bedroom space, from just a “place to sleep” to a sanctuary, through its commitment to innovation in textile and furniture design.

Their first product, the Nathalie Bed, was a disruptor in "sleep culture" design, by offering a highly customizable bed that could yet be easy to upkeep and "ready for sleep". This creation is now considered to be the mother of all ‘modern textile beds’ which then became a furnishing division in its own right – soft, upholstered, removable covers, washable, a place where the sheets and bedcovers were replaced with brightly-colored duvets.

This high customization and the removable covers are now signature elements of most Flou fabric designs.

In their effort for continuous innovation and adaptation, they consider esthetics and function to go hand-in-hand with innovation in the field of materials, technology, and rationalization of the production processes.

Flou produces more than 50 different beds, from single to king-size, from sofa beds to studio couches, produced with fabrics, wood, leather, hide, and other materials. The company also produces technical accessories – mattresses, pillows, mattress supports, cover fabrics – duvet covers available in a wide range of colors and patterns, collections that are reviewed every year; furnishing accessories – chests-of-drawers, night-stands, occasional furniture, desks, armchairs, mirrors, lamps, poufs, and bookcases.
