Egoin was commissioned with the structural project of the A Baiuca Primary School, a pioneering project exclusively crafted from wood. The school's design prioritizes functionality and sustainability, with the main access façade positioned towards the street and additional access points for staff, supplies, and maintenance.
The interior layout features a seamless integration of modules, delineated by roofs and skylights to optimize natural light and ventilation while minimizing acoustic disturbances. This thoughtful arrangement allows for versatile usage of spaces throughout the day, catering to various educational activities. Constructed with CLT spruce load-bearing walls and insulated façades, the building ensures thermal efficiency and structural resilience. The roofing system comprises dual-sided decking boards supported by laminated timber purlins, further enhancing durability and weather resistance.
A Baiuca Primary School exemplifies Egoin's commitment to innovative, sustainable construction practices, providing a conducive learning environment for the next generation.
