Egoin is a family owned business with 30 years of expertise in manufacturing, designing, engineering and constructing simple and sophisticated structural solutions in timber.

In Egoin we respect our environment and the nature that surrounds us. It is the source of the material we use and the very foundation of our value proposition. We are committed to supporting the responsible stewardship of the forests and through our modern building technologies in wood, we seek to create living and working spaces that provide innovative, commercially viable building solutions that promote wellbeing and mental health. From simple beginnings, in the renovation of roofs for farmhouses, the business has expanded to include sawmilling and the construction of single-family homes with heavy timber frame systems, industrial buildings, and ultimately higher-rise residential and municipal construction. We now employ the use of established engineered timber technologies of “Mass Timber” in the form of CLT and Glulam; all of which we manufacture and process into offsite prefabricated elements at our 3 production facilities in the Basque Country.

This growth has allowed the business to expand in both the national Spanish market and further afield into Europe and the UK where we have an expansive portfolio of projects which we are proud to showcase here.
In 2008 we commenced manufacturing Glulam and Cross Laminated Timber at our plant in Ea (Bizkaia, Basque Country). This significant step allowed us to introduce the market to Mass Timber for much larger projects and higher rise buildings in the commercial and residential sector.

In 2023 we expanded our CLT and Glulam production and element processing at our new state of the art production facility in Albertia which will have a combined annual capacity of 50,000m3, consolidating our position as the market leader in Mass Timber production and construction in southern Europe. This year we also acquired the wood processing company Holtza (Legutio, Álava, Basque Country). Mass Timber in the form of CLT and Glulam and hybrid solutions that combine them with steel and concrete will become mainstream within the next decade and we are proud to be playing our part in the movement towards more sustainable construction and constructing a better world.
