Underground Wellness Cave in London | Alpha Wellness Sensations

Located in Bishop Avenue, London, this building has a wellness cave fitted with a sauna and a steam room by the Belgian wellness manufacturer Alpha Wellness Sensations. Owned by an architect, the building’s cellar is located right below the garden.

Alpha Wellness Sensations is a company that specializes in sauna and spa rooms for indoor or outdoor projects. They have modular standard products that can be customized or integrated as wellness areas, designed by their branch Alpha Design.

The interior has mirrored walls that reflect the textures of the sauna’s ayous walls and the steam room’s mosaic tiles in aqua blue with black checkers. This mosaic wall extends to the adjoining wall with a washbasin and the spa of the swimming pool.

The steam room is the Chaleur model by Alpha Wellness Sensations, with 155 by 130 centimeters of surface by 255 centimeters in height. The walls, benches, and ceiling have a finish of EPS below the mosaic tiles, lightened by LED lights on top of the bench backrest. The model is completed with a head shower, a hand shower, and a 5 kW steam generator.

The sauna’s benches and flooring replicate the wall’s ayous slats, and the front wall is made of safety glass. Outside, the main room has exercise gear such as a spinning bike and a treadmill. The roof and the sauna's door are made of toughened glass and are integrated into an aluminum frame. The Finnish sauna is made custom after the Alpha Wellness Sensations Chaleur sauna is 200 by 200 centimeters of surface and has a height of 225 cm. Its lighting is concealed behind the false ceiling with warm white LED lighting and its 9 kW sauna oven has a safety guard.
