Porcelain Stoneware in Villa Duna, Cannes | Fiandre

Porcelain surfaces from Fiandre's Maximum collection take pride of place in this home on the French Riviera. Villa Duna is a 600m² private residence with six en-suite bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool with a hammam, a fitness area, and a gym surrounded by an outdoor swimming pool. The project was overseen by Marianne Prevetau and Victor Perez with Benoit Sgarbi as the project manager.

Format

The chosen format for all the wall coverings in the home is 300x150 cm Maximum Fiandre Extralite which allows complete freedom of use. All finishes were polished.

Color

• Calacatta Light, featuring slight light grey veins
• Pietra Grey, an enveloping anthracite-brown shade veined with pale white streaks

Design

Pool Room Neon lights were placed along the ceiling in the indoor pool room. They create a succession of iridescent lines which highlight the outlines of the cascades that supply the pool with water, along with the almost reflective effects of the walls clad in Fiandre's polished Calacatta Light slabs.
Bathrooms For the bathrooms of the six bedrooms, the architects chose chiaroscuro patterns and ultra-pure lines. The deep hues of polished Pietra Grey used for the washbasins create a contrast with the nuanced white of polished Calacatta Light, installed on the floor, and as wall coverings.
Stairs The steps of the staircases were assembled with a 45-degree slant using polished Pietra Grey and combined with a transparent glass handrail.
Kitchen Island The custom-made kitchen island was designed in Calacatta Light, also with a polished finish.
