The challenge of renovating this Sydney apartment was how to maximize the spectacular harbor views by relocating the kitchen within the rigid constraints of the heritage-listed building regulations. The heritage regulations specified that the original plumbing couldn’t be relocated or extended which meant that an alternative to conventional plumbing was required.

The solution was the installation of a compact Savivite greywater unit from Saniflo that was concealed within the kitchen cabinetry. This enabled the installation of a sink and dishwasher, transforming the room into a kitchen and opening up the main living area.
