Project
Gallup works with organizations around the world, providing advice on attitudinal and behavioral issues. Their London offices occupy level 18 of the iconic Shard building.
Their office space reflects their business ideals; Gallup pioneered the employee engagement movement and introduced Gallup Q12 – a tool for measuring and managing employees. The office is based on 12 actionable workplace elements with proven links to key performance outcomes.
In the interior, there are communal meeting spaces and open-plan work areas, as well as private meeting rooms. The space is characterized by hard glossy surfaces, contrasted with tactile textiles, and contemporary furniture and fittings.
Solution
Soft Cells are acoustic panels from Kvadrat Acoustics. Made with recycled aluminum and with a textile finish the acoustic panels are tensioned to withstand humidity and temperature conditions.
Kvadrat Acoustic Broadline panels are used for the ceiling above a large open-plan break out space. They resolve the acoustic challenge caused by the interior’s hard surfaces whilst at the same time providing access to the services above.
Architecture and Design
Denton Associates, Gallup’s project management team CBRE and the Shard building management team chose Kvadrat Acoustic panels because they delivered excellent acoustics whilst providing the access required. The result is a beautiful looking space that performs on all fronts.
