Text description provided by the architects. The project, located on the site of Percy Hospital in Clamart, is intended to injured militaries hosting coming back from conflicts areas and their families.
The use of a grouped house typology referring to the house imaginary gives the illusion of individuality and provides patients an escape from the hospital environment.
To the East, implanted on a concrete base that puts the public space back, the family apartments are organized around a patio which promotes intimacy to the patients, essential in their recovering process.
To the West, studios open widely to private terraces protected from prying eyes by wooden trellises.
In order to respond to environmental constraints and a difficult time limit, the building is built in prefabricated wooden structure for the upper part. It’s rest on a concrete base grouping technical spaces and services areas.
