Text description provided by the architects. This mecca of operational research on the drivers of tomorrow (electric and hybrid) has an architecture draws its vocabulary in the automotive world. We imagined a long building that evokes the abstract body of a car.
We wanted this new structure, located between Esigelec and Insa, a hyphen, it is visible while hiding.
To do this, the project reflects the wooded environment. The building is located behind a row of pines whose vertical slice with the horizontality of the structure.
The facades are Corten steel, rusted steel that brings out the shimmering orange. Inside, the space is divided into three parts: a lab section, a large atrium on several levels and a workshop for advanced research.
The three areas still live with this search for balance between home and privacy.
