Text description provided by the architects. The Sensai experience is a journey through sequences of sensorial encounters. The japanese esthetic is a subtle balance of simplicity created from complexity.
The design is based on koishimaru silk, the core value of Sensai brand.the space is lined with floating layers of silk. The soft glow of light gently remove layer by layer, the outside world to transform mind and body.
The waiting room in the center of the space is designed as a "cocoon" an oasis of tranquility surrounded by serene light, the everyday life gives way to a different dimensions, leading to an unexplored sense of relaxation and well being.
The darkness of the corridor contrast with the soft glow of the the cabin light, inspired by the simplicity and reverence to nature. A lighting wall is created with layers interlaced strings of fabric, as the eyes loses focus the space vanishes and liberate the mind.
Reflection, refraction. Distortion, light and shadow create a play for the senses, space , material and light fuse into immateriality, where body and mind tune into harmony.
