Text description provided by the architects. The value of the site, located in the coronation of the hill Mirador de los Dominicos, is the front that looks the extension of the city and the surrounding mountains.
The first operation of the project was to duplicate this front, introducing an underground access, which opens the interior of the site and in this one, the garden. This platform is supported by a 20 meters length girder that shapes the threshold that inaugurate a tour spread over the length of the site, gathering in his trajectory the light of the north for the enclosures.
The house proposes a spatial continuity across a system of ramps and stairs that relate four common levels: the access, the living room, the family room and the latter for the parents. To this common space, composed by different places, the private enclosures come together, achieving a familiar life of crossing and proximity.
The project solve with material continuity -a faces sequence of reinforced concrete- the transition in the structure of the house, which goes from the containment of the ground, up to the inhabitable emptiness construction.
The design seeks to multiply the relationship between the mass of the hill and the distant views. Is a house joined with the ground, forming a big and continuous interior space, simultaneously related to the exteriors and the garden.
