Text description provided by the architects. In the coastal village of Kivik we were commissioned to design 12 houses. The building permission was strict and only allowed a roof angle of 45 degrees. To create an interesting spacial experience we divided the houses in different units, the high ceiling makes the interior rather unique although it’s traditional shape.
Throughthis division ofthe house, the exteriorscale is taken downandeach volume is perceived as individualhouses,thiscreatesa niceconnection to theold town of Kivikwith small houses and narrowalleys.
