Text description provided by the architects. A house as a filter between a busy street and a quiet garden.
From the street, some steps and a brick façade as a protection. Light is coming from the slits. From the garden, an open façade with two generous windows of 10 meters wide. Inside, a large patio as a lantern and green lung brings light and natural ventilation to all rooms. Facing the house the long swimming pool cross the garden coming from the renovated annex.
The construction is simple using concrete and glass as main materials. Beam-column system, floor slab, steps, seat, and concrete shelves are sheltered by large window frames in aluminum giving all spaces an inside-out feeling.
