The project is defined as an extension of a group of buildings housing a horse farm. The site had "warehouses" of very poor construction, based on the typical scheme of longitudinal sheds with a double-pitched roof. This prefigured our first approximation to the scale and typology of the design.
Neutrality, and some lack of a central presence, give the building the possibility of dialoguing and establishing a wise relationship with the place. It is linked to a certain expertise from the trade that constructed brick buildings, English style, but taking a step forward, thanks to the technique that made it possible.
The selection of materials, and the axial arrangement of the program, seek to establish a certain stability in the way that the horses cohabit. The program includes two areas: pit and veterinary.
Dimensions, sizes, layouts, and heights, combine the patterns of circulation and movement of thoroughbred horses. This determined the clearance heights and structural spans, as well as the matrix of movements of the project.
