Text description provided by the architects. The program consists of a funeral home with two differentiated areas, a public and a private area. The building has different entrances for the various uses, thus improving performance. On one hand, there is an area for staff, on the other, an area for general public, so that the circulation for both areas is independent, without any eye contact between them, except for the wake room, which allows direct view to the public.
Access is marked with a porch that offers an outdoor waiting area protected from the sun and rain. The lighting is natural in all the rooms, which enjoy views of the landscape around the building. The large skylight on the main facade invades the waiting room with light, and also creates a set of heights that vary depending on where we are.
Materiality, with a traditional material such as brick, placed on different brickwork bonds and combined with iron profiles.
