A ground with 43,00 m2 in the old town of La Morera del Montsant, closed with an almost tumbledown facade and three stone walls, is the place where we have fitted a weekend single family house. The house takes place in three different floors. The ground floor has a part on the same level as the street where we place the entrance and a small bath with laundry room; the other part is semi-underground with more height, where we place a multifunctional room with store rooms and cupboards.
The first floor has an only room for eating, cooking and living. The second floor has two bedrooms under asloping roof and a bathroom and fitting room under a flat roof. Due to the narrowness of the street and the existence of only one facade, we decided to cut the roof at the rear part, over the bathroom and the fitting room, giving them less height, to offer a better illumination and natural ventilation to the entirely house, which arrive to the other floors through the staircase of the second flight, which is designed for this proposal.
section
The staircase of this second flight is conceived with independent wooden steps hanged of vertical metallic profiles subjected between the first and second floor, working as partition element between the kitchen and the living and eating-room, like a filter, without closing the visuals of the spaces at all. In other hang, the staircase of the first flight is totally closed for thermal and visual isolation between the ground floor and the kitchen, eating and living room.

The predominant white color of the interior, the stone of the preexistent walls and the wooden floors give the house an agreeable and warm sensation.
