Text description provided by the architects. The rhythm led by the double alignment of trees contributes to the extent of the site. Housings located along the street are inspired by this initial step. It is a kind of respect towards the scenery which reminds massive urban boulevards. The project begins by building the main limits of the site. The both sides of the central place are connected to the parc and the environment.
On the edge, lined with a path of plane trees, the project which slips into trees at the level of the ground floor, comes to life with a game of cavities and alcoves. Set back from this alignment but also from the tramway, the volume of the first floor is unitarian and crenellate. The writing on the facade allows the apartments identification by bringing to it some divisions.
The edges denseness of the plot releases and opens the central space. It is a shared area, first inside space of the block which groups accesses to apartments, car parks together, and becomes at some hours of the day the continuation of gardens where children can get around and play with complete peace.
In order to have houses privacy we need to keep the public space at a distance. The possibility of taking a space covers the need for withdrawing. The attractive picture of the single-storey seduces because it protects, it creates this distance.
In the project, the housing position allows to create thick limits against streets. These spaces wind around themselves, open themselves to the sky and expend the private space. Therefore, the garden becomes a full-fledged room, it withdraws the frontal look from the living room and offers a private scenery from the kitchen and the bed room.
