Text description provided by the architects. This daycare center in Spain tries to blur the line between inside and outside. This is done with elements protruding and sliding past one another. These measures also help organize the spaces into two types, flexible/multiuse and specific/single-use spaces.
The center organizes its spaces hierarchically according to the program. The multiuse rooms can be easily converted and rearranged to suit a wide variety of activities. The architects simultaneously envisioned the building as a small city that treats the surrounding city as building in which it is merely a room.
