This shift in practice advances the notion that architecture is not only a built product, but a collective process that instills the tools, awareness, and imagination for individuals to improve their lives.

Join the BSA Foundation for an evening of fun, frivolity, and fundraising!

Trivia questions will be based on architecture and design elements. All skill levels are welcome. You do not need to be an architect or master builder to participate.

Teams may consist of 2–8 people (individuals will be placed on teams). Prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team will be awarded. Prizes include a $100 gift card to Smith & Wollensky, the AIA Guide to Boston app, and much more!

Join the BSA Foundation for a LEGO® Challenge using BSA Space’s extensive collection of LEGO® bricks. What should a new building in Boston look like? Young designers will use the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) In the Public Interest exhibition as inspiration to design a new building for Boston, then create it with LEGO® bricks.

This drop-in activity is appropriate for children aged five to 13 years old accompanied by a caregiver. A maximum ratio of one adult per three children will be required. Feel free to drop in

On September 12, join James Wescoat ASLA, Professor of Landscape Architecture at MIT, for a presentation on the growing importance of landscape architectural design in the Aga Khan Historic Cities Programme, and how it addresses the needs and aspirations of societies across the world.

James Wescoat is an Aga Khan Professor in MIT’s Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture and the Co-Director of the Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism. Excitement is building as preparations take place for the 2017 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, scheduled for Nov. 8-10 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, MA.

Greenbuild, owned and operated by Informa Exhibitions and sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the nation’s largest conference and expo dedicated to sustainable building design and construction. The three-day conference attracts 18,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors annually from across the green building sector, spanning commercial and residential professionals, architects, building owners and operators, students, advocates, and educators.

On June 3–4, the BSA Foundation presents the 2017 Common Boston Festival of architecture and design (#CB17) .This open-house architecture festival will unlock the doors to dozens of Boston’s architecturally, culturally, and historically significant sites, encouraging residents and tourists to consider why design matters, while tapping into unique stories that illuminate our vibrant communities. From historic sites to office towers to community gardens, participants will get unparalleled access to more than 50 unique sites that contribute to making greater Boston such an exceptional place to live, work, and play.

Join peers and industry leaders on the weekend of June 3-4 at the BAC's annual CEU Weekend. Expand your passion and reach as an informed practitioner through workshops conducted at the BAC that examine current revisions and projected visions for our evolving profession. Licensed architects will satisfy annual continuing education requirements in Massachusetts by earning the 12 CEU/LUs from the 6 workshops scheduled over the course of the 2 days.
