LED Lighting in 735 Montgomery Street | Alcon Lighting®

Alcon Lighting crafts and distributes high-quality commercial LED lighting throughout America. Alcon's Surface Mount Cylinder Lighting and Linear Recessed Lighting were used in the 735 Montgomery Street office lobby, located in San Francisco, USA.

The aim of this project was to create a warm office lobby space so the building's main entrance was welcoming and contemporary. Located in the heart of San Francisco's historic Jackson Square neighborhood, the lobby is narrow and deep, fronting a street that presented a challenge: a lack of natural light. The client wanted to enhance the property's curbside appeal but the main entry was inset from the sidewalk, making it dark and unwelcoming with dated finishes. By creating a glass façade and adding the right lights, the architects were able to achieve the desired brightness.

By using various lighting fixtures—wall-mounted up/down lights, decorative pendants, indirect lighting at stair treads, ceiling surface-mounted cylinders and linear lights that fit between the wood slat ceiling—materials and textures are highlighted throughout the lobby.
