ForestOne is an innovative force in the timber and decorative solutions industries. ForestOne's laminate and panel products by EGGER were used at 288 Edward Street's commercial suites, located in Brisbane, Australia.
The project aimed to overhaul two newly vacant commercial suites with contrasting interior designs. An important consideration was the lack of specific tenants, which meant they needed to appeal to a wide range of prospective businesses.
The architect, Bearspace, created two distinct spaces by choosing contrasting colors and materials from ForestOne's EGGER laminate and panel products. The EGGER range is a durable, low-maintenance choice ideal for commercial office spaces. Known for its sustainability, EGGER uses FSC-certified wood and maximizes recycled content. The panels are low-VOC, easy to clean, and have anti-bacterial properties, improving air quality. Additionally, the various finishes enabled the architect to create two unique palettes, making EGGER a standout option.
In Suite 1, a moody and sophisticated monochromatic palette was selected—black and white hues and natural textures offset with metal touches. EGGER Silver Grey Metal Slate has a natural stone effect and was applied everywhere from the entrance joinery to the kitchen and breakout area.
In Suite 2, a warm and light palette of blond timber tones, coral and creams, developed around EGGER Natural Kendal Oak and White Chromix. The gentle terrazzo, vinyl and terracotta tile tones of the finishes add texture and a cozy feel.
