Figueras Seating is a leading designer and manufacturer of versatile seating systems for auditoriums, theatres and conference rooms. A custom seating system by Figueras Seating was used in the Benidorm Cultural Centre, located in Benidorm, Spain.

The Benidorm Cultural Centre (Centro Cultural de Benidorm)—designed by Navarro Baldeweg Architects & Langarita-Navarro Architects—transcends a traditional building as an extension of the dynamic city, it's a structure of interconnected spaces that form an urban ecosystem. Corridors become streets and courtyards urban squares, creating an easy sense of community within the building. The center is an architectural icon in the Benidorm, as well as a thriving hub woven into the city's cultural fabric, merging space, activities and urban life.

This design philosophy extends to the Auditorium and the Profession Conservatory of Music and Dance, which can operate in unison or independently catering to various events and performances. The dynamic relationship between these two spaces means they are adaptable to the community's needs.

Figueras Seating's custom seating system was selected for the auditorium, seating 369 people. Designed by Juan Navarro Baldeweg, the seating was inspired by the elegant form of a pocket square, combining sinuosity and geometry. The comfortable seating is made of natural leather with an innovative mesh backrest, enhancing its acoustic performance.
