Fabral is a leader in providing high-performance metal roofing solutions for a variety of architectural projects. For Green Builder Media's off-grid, carbon-neutral VISION House project at Mariposa Meadows, Fabral provided 24-gauge 1 ½” SSR Residential Concealed Fastener Panels.
Located in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, the VISION House project required materials capable of withstanding extreme conditions, such as high altitudes and remote locations. Fabral’s metal roofing was selected for its structural stability and durability, ensuring long-term performance in the harsh mountain environment. The easy installation and weather resistance of the SSR panels made them an ideal fit for the project's sustainability goals.
In addition to the roofing, Mariposa Meadows incorporates various sustainable technologies and design elements, including high-performance building envelopes, renewable energy systems, and wildfire risk mitigation. Fabral’s roofing plays a critical role in maintaining the energy efficiency of the homes, which are situated 13 miles from the nearest electrical grid and at an elevation of 10,400 feet, showcasing what is possible for future net-zero, off-grid living.
