Metalic Walls and Roof at School | Fabral

Fabral is a leading company in the metal cladding industry, specializing in residential, light commercial, and agricultural applications. Corgan Associates selected Fabral's Thin Seam metal panels to encase the largest net zero school in the U.S.

With a focus on sustainability, Corgan Associates designed Lady Bird Johnson Middle School to generate more energy than it consumes over a 12-month period. The building is shielded by a large canopy that prevents the hot Texas sun from entering the classroom windows while still allowing natural light. The building itself features high-efficiency glazing and increased insulation from the Fabral metal envelope, ensuring tight insulation from external elements. The school has been LEED Gold certified by the United States Green Building Council.

The Thin Seam panels are snap-together panels designed for easy installation without the need for a mechanical seaming tool. They are ideal for installation over solid substrate and open framing.
