Kaldewei combines modern luxury with sustainable thinking to offer unique bathroom solutions. Centro Undercounter, Centro Duo and Sound Wave from Kaldewei were used in Casa Pyla, located in Pyla sur Mer, France.
Casa Pyla is the beach house of portrait and fashion photographer Karine Köng, who selected Kaldewei bathroom elements for the home. Casa Pyla can be booked as a luxury holiday home or as a location for shoots. Karine Köng and the architectural office l'Atelier d'Architecture du Bassin d'Arcachon chose a soft-grey color palette for the minimalist first-floor central bathroom. Once the floor plan was designed, the biggest challenge was creating a bathroom that felt spacious despite its small space.

Karine Köng opted for the Centro Duo steel enamel bathtub. “Steel enamel was my preferred choice because you can feel the value of the material with every touch and it can be 100% recycled after a long service life. The haptic experience is simply more pleasant than with acrylic bathtubs,” explained the photographer. The Centro Duo bathtub was paired with the Sound Wave audio system to transform it into a refined speaker that generates sound both above and below water. The Centro Undercounter washbasin is also crafted from recyclable steel enamel and is designed to fit flush with the surface.
