The Tavola™ Closed Baffles system by Hunter Douglas Architectural features a closed ceiling design, integrating two distinct metal ceiling panels: the Tavola™ baffle and the linear panel 150C. This systems offers a robust, but at the same time refined ceiling solution that combines efficiency, acoustic comfort, and visual appeal.
The combination of two metal panels results in a sophisticated ceiling aesthetic. One of the key advantages lies in its efficiency - the closed ceiling construction eliminates the need for finishing the ceiling plenum, such as painting. With the flat linear panel also available in black, it hides unpainted areas for a polished finish. This system thus enhances the visual properties of a space by providing a uniform closed ceiling design that conceals any irregularities of the plenum.
Design & Inspiration
With a wide range of colours and finishes available for both panels, from subtle to expressive, designers can create diverse and captivating ceiling designs.
Acoustics
The acoustic comfort in an office space, school or public building contributes to our well-being, as poor acoustics can affect health, productivity and learning. The absorption value (αw) of the Tavola™ Closed Baffle ceiling lies between 0.50 and 0.65, depending on the choice of perforation. This system is ideal for environments where acoustic performance and aesthetics are paramount, including offices, public building entrances, lounges, and retail areas.
