More about this product

While DCWéditions lighting objects vary from classic to contemporary in aesthetic, one aspect remains consistent across each design: quality. Aaro, Here Comes The Sun and Mantis BS2 light fixtures were used in Dawid Augustyn's apartment, located in Cape Town, South Africa.

Establishment founder, Dawid Augustyn's Cape Town sought to embody his personal style and high-end design principles with his High Trees apartment. Designed by Kelly Hoppen, a signature pink pigment runs throughout High Trees' four-story building. It's a choice that adds to the residence's visual appeal while seamlessly integrating with its surroundings.

The Aaro ceiling light by DCWéditions emulates fluid, forward motion. Functional, yes, but this fixture does more than light the room, it provides a geometrical focal point that adds interest without dominating the space. The Aaro gives the illusion that it's floating, giving a sense of vastness in the space. With the placement of this fixture, Kelly Hoppen created a relationship between the ceiling and the dining table beneath it.

Ascending the stairs, find the iconic Here Comes The Sun light. It's a sun-inspired feature lamp that adds softness and warmth to the space. The stairwell becomes a journey of understated luxury.

Finally, we come to the bedrooms, adorned with Mantis BS2 wall lamps. This fixture is prominent yet refined and enhances the space without overwhelming it. Kelly Hoppen's decision to use these lamps next to the bed ensures the graphic monochromatic artwork and upholstered headboard remain focal points of the room.

Thoughtful lighting fixtures and placements throughout the residence add a level of detail that has a positive impact on inhabitants' well-being and emotional experience. High Trees is a testament to Kelly Hoppen's design philosophy—blending luxury with comfort and historical reverence with contemporary flair, resulting in a home that is as functional as it is beautiful.
