GFRC Cladding for Dubai Flagship Store | Tactile Materials

Tactile Materials is an international company dedicated to the supply and production of customized metal cladding for architectural endeavors. One of the main uses for Tactile Materials is Retail Facades, such as the interior and exterior facades of the Apple Flagship store in Dubai.

This large Apple Flagship is in one of the most prominent shopping malls in the city, oriented towards the large local and visitor consumer population. The Tactile Polished GFRC covers the predominant interior and exterior surfaces of its facades. Tactile designed, engineered, fabricated, and provided Install-Assist for the sculptural staircases featuring cast-in handrails, curved panels, column covers, soffits, wall cladding, and integration of Apple logos, Polished GFRC doors, and unique conditions. The interior joinery is 3mm (1/8”) with some panels 2500 mm (8’0”) X 6000 mm (20’0”) requiring Tactile's precision casting and polishing technologies. Tactile's proprietary computer systems measured the gloss rating and color of each panel to ensure a consistent surface across all interior and exterior surfaces.

Tactile Materials took over the design, engineering, and production of mockups and projects encompassing 2000 square meters (22,000 square feet) of Tactile Polished GFRC, Tactile Large Clad Pivot Doors, Logo integration, and unique conditions.
