Tactile Materials is an international company dedicated to the supply and production of customized metal cladding for architectural endeavors. The Tactile Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) cladding™ is available for interior and exterior use.
Tactile polished GFRC™ cladding has a depth, unlike any other opaque material. Tactile's innovative formulation is made of glass aggregate, refined cement, nanofibers, and resins. Tactile applies advanced casting technologies to produce flat, curved and curvilinear shapes for interior and exterior applications.

The Tactile Polished GFRC cladding is one of the most diverse opaque materials in composition, shape, size, and finish, and with advanced sustainable forming techniques for cladding and sunshades, as it reduces the carpentry cost of producing smaller quantities of complex shapes. Tactile has developed admixtures that allow for self-cleaning characteristics in a variety of exposed aggregates and smooth finishes. Tactile's point-to-point computerized polishing line ensures consistent gloss units on the finish surfaces.
The polished GFRC comes in a nominal thickness of 25 mm (1”). It is a thick layer comprised of a face coat and structural coat of Tactile's concrete composite. Larger panels are mounted to steel armatures for production, shipping, and installation.

Visual Characteristics
The Tactile GFRC cladding texture is a non-directional, polished aggregate finish at standard 10 gloss units (available in higher gloss applications upon request). The pigmented concrete composite comes in ranges of whites, greys, earth tones, and selected highly pigmented colors. Its polished aggregates are in a range of 0 to 00 recycled glass aggregates.
Slabs can be installed with joint sizes between 3.2 mm and 25 mm, with the options for ventilated rainscreen with diverters and gutters for exterior applications, or closed systems with sealed joints.
