Siller Treppen is a company that specializes in creating unique staircase designs that are tailored to meet the specific requirements of each project. Recently, Siller Treppen designed a Floating Staircase for a house in Germany, which was designed by Erhardt + Erlacher Architekten.
The Floating Staircase is a focal point of the house, boasting dimensions of 1.4m (4' - 2/3") in width and glass stringers measuring 7.2m (23' - 2/3") in one piece. To ensure structural stability, the treads have a steel core. Additionally, an LED lighting feature runs below the slotted wooden handrail.
The client requested a handrail with the same width as the glass balustrade. This was achieved by extending the glass into the rail and slotting it into place. The result is a seamless design that complements the overall aesthetic of the house.
