The Euphoria Retreat is a cluster of wellness amenities developed around a 19th-century mansion. It is also located next to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mystras. The spa facilities have been clad in marble and stones provided by Stonetech, a company dedicated to the quarrying and distribution of stone and stone-like claddings.
Seven consecutive retaining walls form a spine of amenities, carved into the base of the mountain between the town and a cypress forest. They are new interventions inserted among existing buildings. They host all the communal areas of the retreat, stepping up the landscape from the entrance to the reception and the restaurant, and culminating with the spa.

The spa is organized on four levels that are, for the most part, surrounded by earth. A flood of natural light draws the visitor deep into the ground. The light originates from a tall cylindrical well with a large skylight at the very top. The main staircase spirals around the well leading the visitors to four levels with very distinct experiential qualities.
Among these facilities are a byzantine hammam spa clad in Silver Cloud and Aliveri Grey marble, and the steam room, clad in mosaic tiles. At the center of the steam room, a steam oven clad in marble keeps the room at a constant 43°C temperature.
Speleotherapy room |
The speleotherapy room has a back wall clad in salt stones, and the Sphere pool, also clad in Stonetech-provided marbles for coping, offers an immersive experience that allows guests to dive into its 4-meter-deep bottom. Finally, the Tepidarium is covered in Silver Cloud marble on its walls, floors, and benches, all warmed at an average 38°C temperature with humidity levels around 20%.
The 45 rooms of the retreat are hosted within three existing buildings.
