Zawieja Studio's innovative approach to interior design at the Neuroport Neurological and Senior Rehabilitation Center in Poznań is a prime example of a revolutionary transformation driven by research and innovation, in which HEWI played a pivotal role.

Located on the shores of Lake Kierskie, the Neuroport Neurological and Senior Rehabilitation Center has creatively integrated its surroundings into its interior design. Zawieja Studio, drawing inspiration from HEWI's products and its compatible ENTRO's modular solutions, crafted a consistent fit-out, revolutionizing the rehabilitation center's spatial concept from door to sanitary areas.

Recognizing the impact design can have on a patient's well-being, Zawieja Studio prioritized creating an environment conducive to recovery and comfort. The spatial concept emphasizes social interaction and connection with nature, featuring visually appealing communication areas spread across 3,500 square meters of floor space. Warm earth tones and nature-inspired motifs adorn the interiors, fostering a sense of tranquility and rejuvenation.

Promoting Independence and Autonomy

Aesthetic and functional considerations were crucial in the design of the bathrooms. The aim was to maximize independence for people with disabilities while maintaining high design standards. HEWI's aqua blue fittings and sanitary products from the 801 series add cheerful accents to the bathrooms, ensuring they are fully accessible without compromising on style. The design incorporates ENTRO handrail systems throughout the facility, promoting autonomy and self-determination.

HEWI's classic System 111 building hardware series, which features an iconic lever handle designed by Rudolf Wilke in 1969, is a great example of the rehabilitation center's commitment to aesthetic sophistication and functionality. The high-gloss polyamide solutions not only meet strict hygiene regulations but also contribute to the center's overall ambiance of well-being and recovery.
