More about this product

The BAGUETTE is an elongated brick tile meant to form exterior ceramic facades. The German manufacturer MOEDING produces these panels along with their installation systems, in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, plus the possibility to request customized forms.

This product was implemented on the facade of the Malopolska Garden of Arts in Krakow (MGA), with a variety of natural red tones that integrate into the visual language of the city center’s historical buildings. The original building itself has a brick facade that continues the color palette, and the BAGUETTE panels cover the sides of the multifunctional hall and its crystal roof.

The new building of the MGA centers a multifunctional garden hall in the outline of the 19th-century horse riding arena, but the complex combines the spaces of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre and the Malopolska Voivodeship library, so it has a media library on one wing and a multifunctional events hall on the other. The 4,300 m2 complex houses also a cinema, a café, and educational infrastructure.

BAGUETTES are long-format, hollow ceramic elements fastened using special holders. In the case of specific requirements (fall protection), they can be threaded onto an aluminum tube and attached to the structure using object-related holders. The systems developed for the BAGUETTE are based on the existing systems for the other MOEDING products ALPHATON® and LONGOTON® and use similar components.

The installation system depends on its intended use and the local context of the building. Fastening of the aluminum structure can be done in three different ways: installation with rearward attachment, lateral attachment using screw traps, or using a rapid system.

The BAGUETTES are equipped with BAGUETTE holders, which can be clipped into the base plates without the need for tools.
