Customized Blinds and Shades at Gomila Project | BANDALUX

Bandalux is a company specialized in the development, manufacture, and marketing of high-end curtains and blinds since 1986. A variety of their products, including their vertical blinds, BSO outdoor Venetian blinds, Fit-Box, and Premium Plus roller shades, were used to equip and customize the interiors of Project Gomila.

Designed by MVRDV and GRAS Reynés Arquitectos, Project Gomila is a collection of buildings, each with a distinctive character derived from their colors, materials, and rooflines, that is transforming the area around Plaza Gomila, located in Mallorca, Spain. The architects selected Bandalux shades and blinds for their versatile chromatic customization and functionality, for over 60 avant-garde homes with their own identity and custom design. Fit Box and Premium Plus roller shades, BSO outdoor Venetian blinds, and Vertical blinds were adjusted to each building style, matching its furniture and decoration. The project was nominated for the “Best Applied Products” category of the Building of the Year Awards by Archdaily.

The vertical blinds provide versatile solutions for high ceilings and irregular surfaces, which work seamlessly within the ample windows and diverse structures of Project Gomila. Bandalux vertical blinds have a rotation angle of 180º, which provides total control over light incidence and visual aperture. They can cover openings up to 6 m wide by 6 m high.

Bandalux BSO outdoor Venetian blinds provide effective sunlight control and heat protection for outdoor spaces. Featuring adjustable slats, these blinds offer precise management of sunlight exposure, aiding in energy conservation. Operable through crank, motor, or cord mechanisms, users can choose their preferred method for ease of use. Constructed from rustproof aluminum materials, these blinds are durable and resilient against harsh weather conditions, ensuring long-term reliability.

Bandalux Fit-Box roller shades were used to customize Project Gomila's doors, as their easy-to-install system can be directly installed over any surface without the need for screws. The system offers three operation modes, chain, motor, and handle. The automatized version also features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery motor system alongside chain and manual operation. Its cassette design includes a cover for easy motor recharging and hides the antenna for seamless integration.

Bandalux Premium Plus roller shades are fully customizable and are designed for extra-wide and tall windows. Thin covers reduce the gap between the fabric and support for a sleek appearance. The integrated mechanism ensures smooth rolling and straight descent, utilizing Bandalux's durable and efficient soft drive system.
