Laminated Scantlings in Private House | Siero Lam

Siero Lam is a leading European manufacturer of chestnut wood and other high quality Woods products prioritizing customer service and circular economy principles. Different wood products from Siero Lam were used in the refurbishment of a private house in Galicia, Spain.

A comprehensive reform was carried out on a house located in the historic center of Santiago de Compostela. The original structure of the house was preserved, leaving a space to serve as a starting point for the house extension. The stone walls were maintained, while the remaining structure was constructed using solid sweet chestnut beams. Additionally, the floors, carpentry, and furniture were all crafted from sweet chestnut wood.

For this project, laminated scantlings, flooring, and beam pontoons from Siero Lam were applied.
