Private Spa in French Alps Chalet | Alpha Wellness Sensations

Alpha Wellness Sensations is a Belgian wellness furniture manufacturer, with custom and model products to order that can be visited at their showroom in Hasselt, Belgium. Two setups from this showroom have been implemented in this private wellness project in Méribel, France, within the chalet Le Chardon Bleu.

The chalet is a holiday home split into two floors and a loft, following the architectural principles of the Savoyard style, present across the Méribel resort. Made with wooden walls and floors, it has slanted wooden roofs. The building has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, an open kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a gym, and a TV room.

Two concepts of the Hasselt showroom are combined in the wellness project: the “My Spa” sauna setup and the “My Dream” steam setup, which resulted in the “My Dream Spa” concept.

The spa room, accessed through a tinted glass door, pulls the sauna and the steam bath to the back of the room, next to the door, to allow the panoramic view of the French Alps in front of the sunken bathtub. Thus, both the steam room and the sauna have views of the mountains.

The sauna has wooden thermo-ayous profiles. The benches, backrest, and oven protector are covered in ayous wood as well. It has two full-spectrum infrared heaters of 350 watts on its side walls, covered in diagonal profiles of ayous wood. The oven is an Alpha Pro 11 kW model.

The “My Dream” steam room was installed in a 150 by 180 cm format. Its walls are insulated with EPS and finished with mosaic tiles. The soft lounge bench is also covered in tiles, and the ceiling has a Dombracht shower. Its steam generator has 6.5 kW and has an aroma pump.

Both units are covered in “Argento” Slate-Lite finish also by Alpha Wellness Sensations and are lightened with indirect LED lighting. Both front walls and their doors are made of safety glass.
