Characteristics
High-quality, customized design, acoustic comfort, focused lighting
Acoustic lighting and acoustic ceiling Bespoke from Impact Acoustic were used in the renovated Bergen City Hall. Situated in Norway, the historical building was built with a large influence from the Brutalist style in the 1950s. Due to corrosion, a series of extensive renovations were started to prolong the lifespan of the building by half a century.
Design Concept
The new spaces aimed to create a more people-centered government with a concept of a functional workplace envisioned by employees in leadership. Designed by Grape Design, the interiors were designed with a 1960s Scandinavian aesthetic.
Acoustic Solutions
The Edge Bespoke acoustic ceiling was used in the shade of Warm Stone. The selected color blended well with the other tones used throughout the building. The result is a more comfortable space for employees, used in public areas such as the cafeteria and lobby.
The work areas and meeting rooms were adapted to the current needs of a modern workspace. A part of this solution was lighting fixtures from Impact Acoustic, offering adequate and direct lighting with acoustic comfort.
