Wire mesh from Codina Architectural was used as part of the facade design for the Embassy de Suïssa Joiers shopping center. Situated in Andorra La Vella, the distinctive diamante building consists of four levels. The 23-meter-long facade was recently renovated by Moom Architects.
Facade Design
The facade is divided into three large shop windows. Aiming to increase the visibility of the building, the existing fronts were expanded with a large LED screen placed on the glass envelope.
On the street level, the exterior was designed specifically to reflect the high-end jewelry and watch store. To achieve this the walls were cladded with architectural wire mesh from Codina Architectural. The selected mesh model was the MIES R in stainless steel, painted in gold. The mesh covered 28 square meters of the street facade and has been arranged in waves along the perimeter of the ground floor. It is illuminated with LED strips enhancing the bejeweled aesthetic and inviting users inside.
