Masisa® Bullnose Shelving application is a specialized use of Medium-Density Particleboard (MDP) and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) for bullnose mouldings. It is specifically designed with a rounded or curved edge, commonly referred to as a bullnose profile. MDP boards, manufactured via advanced continuous pressing with synthetic resins, and MDF boards, bonded using urea-formaldehyde adhesives, offer optimal physical-mechanical properties and high-quality surfaces. The pieces are pre-painted with a water-based coating, PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate), and calcium carbonate. They are then painted in one solid color with a semi-gloss top coat, all applied during the manufacturing process.
Masisa® Bullnose moulding serves several purposes. It is primarily used for finishing and decorative applications, providing an aesthetic transition between different surfaces or covering gaps and joints. It is also frequently installed along the edges of walls, ceilings, doorways, windows, or cabinetry to add a smooth, rounded finish and to protect the underlying structure.
