Solid Wood Douglas flooring from Dinesen was used in the showroom for a shop in Los Angeles. In collaboration with Lara Hoad Architecture & Design, Knight Associates, the designers have created a space with soft, confident shapes that create a warm and welcoming setting focused on service and customer experience.
Showroom Design
The retail design embraces several delineated spaces in an open-plan layout, using elegant joinery solutions and well-planned views and sightlines to create unique sensory experiences as customers move through the shop.
The interior of the new Lonely Melrose showroom creates a dialogue between hard and soft surfaces. Designed by interior designer Knight Associates and Lara Hoad Architecture & Design, the materials and textures are muted using a palette of Dinesen Douglas, fir, elm, aged brass, and pitted plaster. The result offers a raw, elegant design that matches the Lonely brand identity.
The exterior of the Lonely Melrose showroom is a newly constructed joinery facade finished with cathedral glass that filters the influx of light and offers an elegant, partially obscured view of the interior while preserving discretion for the customers.
Douglas Floor
Solid Wood Douglas flooring from Dinesen offers high-quality flooring in a light oil finish, tying into the muted palette.
