Engineered Layered Oak flooring from Dinesen was used in a private residence in Taipei. CC Residence acts as an oasis from the hectic environment of the region. Designed for a family of four, the minimalist home offers room for reflection and inspiration using high-quality materials.
Design Concept
Designed by ECRU Studio, the core concept of CC Residence was to establish a sense of balance and timelessness. Founded by the former antique dealer Jin Chen, ECRU Studio often uses iconic mid-century French and Italian furniture in its projects – and CC residence is no exception. The concept behind the house is to explore the deliberate tension between old and new, mediated by soft color notes and tactile materials.
The furniture and art pieces offer a contrast to the robust shell with exposed wooden beams, textured gypsum walls, and Dinesen Oak floors. Standing in contrast to the bustling city life, the interior of the home offers a countryside retreat.
Oak Floors
Dinesen Oak floors are used throughout the 220-square-metre flat, bringing atmospheric warmth to the rooms and drawing nature’s sensuous qualities into the home.
