Internal roller blinds protect furnishings, maintain privacy, and are an important element of an interior decoration scheme bringing warmth to a space and softening the brightness of glass and window framing. Shade Factor’s range of roller blinds offers a variety of types and finishes for different applications. The larger roller models for commercial applications allow greater spans, faster fabric travel, and increased fabric stability achieved by a reduction in the number of rotations.
Available in a large range of colors, textures, transparency levels, blackout, and control options to suit specific requirements. Whilst not as effective as external blinds in reducing solar load, Shade Factor offers a range of specialized fabrics with reflective backing to maximize solar protection and reduce glare.
Benefits and Features
Residential Range
The residential range of roller blinds offers discreet quiet componentry and precision-engineered rollers suitable for most residential applications. The blind is available in a range of specialized fabrics with reflective backing to maximize solar protection and reduce glare. Applications include private residences, cafes and restaurants, hotels and clubs, office spaces, and commercial spaces with regular ceiling heights. |
Commercial Range
The commercial roller blind includes componentry to manufacture blinds up to 7 meters wide and 20 meters high. The blind is suitable for extremely wide openings, or the interior of large glazed structures. The blind uses a highly durable range of fabric designed for higher tension and precision rolling. The system components require pre-planning due to the weight and stresses placed on the structure. The system is suitable for ceiling recesses or façade mounting into preconfigured steel mounting points. Applications include private residences with wide openings greater than 4.5 meters, sports facilities, commercial building foyers, public buildings, museums, libraries, airports, transport facilities, and special-use buildings |
Architectural Range
Shade Factor’s architectural range of roller blinds offers the same functionality and design as the residential range, with an extensive range of Australian and European fabrics. The range is designed with larger-scale components suited for applications within ceiling recesses incorporated into the design. Shade Factor has extensive experience in the planning of these projects and can assist with the details. The key is to plan early since a zone must be established within the structure to accommodate the blinds without conflicting with other building services. Applications include private residences with high ceilings and/or wide openings, sports facilities, commercial buildings with double-height spaces, airports, and transport facilities |
Blackout Blinds
The Warema range of premium blackout blinds reliably blocks out disruptive light, preventing heat loss in winter and glare in summer. With the versatility to be installed vertically or horizontally and with the added option of adding ZIP guidance, the blackout blinds can suit any building type or window front and integrate seamlessly with a design. Applications include skylights, glass conservatories, sloping wall windows, and unglazed ceiling voids. |
