Parklex Prodema presents their fire-resistant panels, GRCLAD, featuring a fiberglass core impregnated with mineral-filled synthetic resins, making them non-combustible. By replacing the original cellulose layer with a glass-reinforced core, the product has achieved a fireproof cladding panel that exceeds the fire regulations of high-rise buildings while retaining the benefits of Parklex Prodema products. For applications that require the appearance of natural wood, the user has the possibility of creating a façade with fire resistance characteristics while maintaining the aesthetic and warmth of timber.
Parklex Prodema fire-resistant cladding panels are BR 135 tested according to the BS 8414 methodology, ensuring they meet the performance requirements for fire resistance in relevant buildings as per the British Standard. A selection of textured panels with color have successfully passed fire protection standards per Euroclass EN 13501, obtaining an A2 s1 d0 grade, therefore classifying as a non-combustible product. The project Library Hall by Hapto maximizes natural light thanks to the design choice of using GRCLAD-B White. Even though the cellulose layer is replaced, the panels still can maintain a natural wood texture with distinctive variations. In this case, the panels offer an architectural solution as furniture and interior façade cladding, creating visual continuity through space.
Details
- Fire resistant
All GRCLAD finishes are BR 135 compliant and five are classified as A2 s1 d0 according to EN 13501. - UV resistant
The panels are capable of withstanding extreme UV weather conditions. - Resistant to extreme atmospheric agents
The European Standard EN 438-6:2005 specifies that exterior-grade compact laminates such as facades should provide specific resistance to weather conditions according to the Resistance to Artificial Weathering Test. After 3,000 hours of exposure, the material should have a rating variation of ≥ 4 in appearance and a rating of ≥ 3 in contrast. Facade attains these values following exposure of up to 5 times those required by the standard. - No Maintenance
The surface composition of Parklex Prodema products protects against adverse weather conditions, eliminating the need for any maintenance or treatment.
