Retractable Canopies on a Rooftop Terrace | ShadeFX

Custom-designed, pre-fabricated, and ready-to-install, the outdoor structures from ShadeFX offer countless customization options and unique features that deliver robust sun and rain solutions. Retractable canopies from ShadeFX were used in a patio in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Townhouse owners wanted to add sun and rain protection to their rooftop terraces, for which ShadeFX customized two 14’ x 14’ commercial-grade aluminum structures with motorized retractable canopies.

For the canopy, the waterproof and fire-retardant Ferrari fabric in a bold Velvet Red was chosen. The structures and hardware were powder-coated jet black. Covering the over 370 sq. ft. patio, the retractable canopy structure is integrated into the sides of the terrace for a cohesive look.
