The new boutique 9,000-seat stadium and training facility for the Brisbane Lions of the Australian Football League (AFL) and AFL Women's uses Flexbrick's ceramic system for the building's facade. Designed by Populous, the Brighton Homes Arena located in Ipswich will be used for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, with the Pentathlon event to be staged at the venue. The curved front entrance uses prefabricated ceramic curtains from Flexbrick to create a unique facade. The distinctive logo of the Lion created with pixels of special stainless steel tiles with a brushed gold finish was integrated into the curtain.
The new complex features a purpose-built training area with an indoor field, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and community spaces. An administrative center with meeting rooms, an auditorium, and a cafe are included as elements to help provide new revenue streams for the Brisbane Lions Club.
